This blog is about the search of extraterrestrial life - life not of the Earth. Do not be mistaken...this isn't pseudoscience. You will find no UFO stories or crop circle nonsense here. Aliens don't fly quadrillions of miles to secretly perform medical procedures on unsuspecting ranchers in the rural regions of the world.
The question "Are we alone?" can be scientifically investigated for the first time in human history. Right now, astronomers scan the skies and are finding
thousands of exoplanet candidates all around us. It appears that there are far more planets out there in other star systems than we initially thought. Right now, biologists and other scientists from various fields are currently building the astrobiology/exobiology sub-discipline. They are exploring alternative biological systems, extremophiles, and obscure ecosystems to understand just what forms life is capable of taking and using that information to make predictions on what we could find. This blog aims to cover these topics and more, as well as chronicle humanity's quest to answer this one, most important question. Can we answer it? It is quite literally only a matter of time now.
